Is my email content uploaded?
No. Encoding runs in your browser. Recipient addresses, subject, and body are not sent to our servers. Hosting may log normal page requests (IP, URL) separately — see Privacy.
What outputs do I get?
Three: a raw mailto URI, an HTML anchor tag, and a Markdown link. All use the same encoded fields.
Can I include Cc and Bcc?
Yes. Enter them in the Cc and Bcc fields. Some desktop or mobile clients partially support or ignore Bcc in mailto URLs — always test on your target clients.
Why is there a length warning?
Very long mailto URLs can fail in browsers, proxies, or mail apps. The tool shows the character count and warns when the URI may be risky.
Do multiple To addresses work?
You can enter several addresses separated by commas or newlines. Clients differ in how they open group drafts; verify with your primary mail app.
Will special characters break the link?
The generator percent-encodes subject and body. Still avoid extremely long Unicode bodies if you target older clients.
Is this the same as an email marketing tool?
No. It only builds mailto links. It does not send mail, track opens, or store lists.
Why not just type mailto by hand?
Manual encoding of spaces, line breaks, and multi-recipient fields is easy to get wrong. This tool exists so site owners can copy a correct link in URI, HTML, or Markdown form.
